Forum cinema
The Forum cinema was nominated to the 5th edition of Prizes of Polski Instytut Sztuki Filmowej (Polish Film Institute) in the CINEMA category.
The Forum cinema is run since 1992 by Bolesławiecki Ośrodek Kultury - Międzynarodowe Centrum Ceramiki (Cultural Centre of Bolesławiec - International Ceramics Centre), the Cultural Institution of Bolesławiec. The facility is located in the centre of the town, at Plac Piłdudskiego 1c. The cinema belongs to the Network of Arthouses and Local Cinemas of the Polish Federation of Film Discussion Clubs. The operations of the cinema are supported by the Polish Film Institute.
After complete redecoration which was completed in 2008, the cinema offers the highest level of services and a high projection comfort, since May 2010 - also in the digital and 3D technology.
More ambitious European and Polish productions constitute a considerable part of the repertoire. We do not forget about good commercial cinema, either. It is our idea to present good pieces of work, interesting ones, very often courageous and controversial; to introduce film classics, but also independent films. Forum cinema is also a place where film reviews, premieres and festivals take place.
